A little bit of randomness

Check this out. I randomly Googled Dr. Seuss today, and found it. It's good to go back to when you were about five sometimes.
Random trivia: He wrote Green Eggs and Ham (which, incidentally, has been turned into a cookbook) on a bet for $50 that he couldn't write a book with 50 words or less. This is what I get for tearing apart his website.
So, in the words of the Doctor:
"I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny. But we can have lots of good fun that is funny!"

What's doing?

I haven't posted on here for awhile. I've been doing a lot of school stuff, brainstorming the story I'd like to have time to write, and discussing the Sherut Leumi issue. I'll update on that later, probably in about 4 months when (if) I have it all worked out. Whatever. We're a bit sensitive on that right now.

Hello, Dawlishes! Yeah, I really loved that line.
Before I get into anything, I should really mention that I had a not so great end of the day- I had issues getting home, issues being another word for waiting alone out in the freezing cold at a bus stop that looks like the middle of nowhere for over an hour, and getting home at 8 after my driving lesson ended at 5:30. Then I got home and saw- this!
On this week's episode, guest starring is Garth Franklin, who is in the know on the movies. We get to hear what he thinks the trailer, which will be coming out this week, will be like, from 17 hours into the future (a.k.a Australia).
And we hear a bit of what John thinks the trailer should look like too, of course including the one and only character of importance: Dawlish. Melissa asked the fans to make videos of John's trailer, and the first one showed up on YouTube under 12 hours after the release of the podcast, as per Garth's prediction that it would be there in the morning. You can watch it on www.pottercast.com
So, the trio and their guest discuss everything about movies- trailers, ratings, release dates and just about everything else.
Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, John is feeling better! Yay!
OMG, John just said he doesn't think Dawlish would be in the trailer! I never thought I'd hear something like that out of him.
And that's about it! Don't forget to listen!

So... what's new?

Ummm... not much. I've got a lot of school stuff going on (3 tests this week!), some Sherut Leumi (national service) stuff, and I'm a bit stressed. I've developed an addiction I'm rather enjoying to this pair of pink fluffy slippers I bought some five years ago, which are really wonderful in the winter, and it looks like my father may need to take an emergency business trip to America, which will provide me with the only shampoo that can control my hair. (Herbal Essences, "None of your Frizzness". Highly recommended for frizzy hair.) That's about it.
Have a good week!

Melissa is back with her Mac! Yay! But John is sick... and in need of chicken soup. Get well, John! (Which is appropriately enough the title of this week's Episode 62.) And Sue is just happy because Jo updated her site. (Not to mention because she's a Hufflepuff, so she's always happy.)
We're all happy, because Jo had a good writing week. Melissa: "I can just imagine what comes out of her on a good writing week." And a bit freaked out, because Jo's now considering a third title for Book 7.
The biggest tragedy in this weeks HP news is that Dan Radcliffe, who plays Harry in the movies, thinks Harry is going to die in the last book. Melissa: "I don't talk to people like that. I might make an exception for Dan Radcliffe..."
Canon Conundrums: What is the nature of wizarding portraits? How much can they say? What do they do? How will [the anonymous character who died at the end of Book 6]'s portrait help Harry in Book 7? Will he turn into a morbid parrot? What about the portrait of Harry painted by the *cough*amazingly talented*cough* Dobby? Will it repeat warped catchphrases of Harry? ("Inh, inh, inh, inh...") (Of course, that won't be helpful because Harry's not going to die...) Steve: "You get the little three-year-old wizard with his first box of crayons, and before you know it you got all these things on the wall going 'Inh, inh, inh, inh...' 'I drew a picture of you, Mommy.'"
Steve: "I wonder what she's going to write next." Melissa: "Book 7." Yeah, I'd say it's the best Episode 62 Canon Conundrums they've ever done, and thanks to Jason's Chipotle Burrito reference, it wasn't even John-less.
Sue, don't get rid of your squees! As long as nobody's lost their hearing, we don't need any Listener Protection Act. We love your squees!
Speaking of which, I love Sue... that Hufflepuff patriotism (in the mailbag) is just too cute! And while we're on the I Love Sue rant, I should probably mention that I am so behind her about the entire trio living!!! There's just no other way.
Now, the blog challenge. First of all, Melissa is accusing us of slacking. Hey, I don't celebrate Halloween, OK? OK, she's right. So, for this week's challenge, what can I do to make John feel better? Hey, I gave his show a great review. Anything else?
Yeah, I should probably mention that John was really missing from today's PotterCast. We love him! PotterCast without John Noe is... just Melissa and Sue. Melissa and Sue are wonderful and wonderful, but without the third wonderful PotterCast just has a gaping hole in it... So I really hope John is better and back for Episode 63. The show was really missing in John-isms this week.
What else is there to say... Oh! I forgot! There's going to be another live podcast at Phoenix Rising, which I mentioned in my previous PC post. Oh, and anyone who's interested in writing/singing filks (song parodies), now is the time to start listening to PC because they're having another flik-cast for the holidays!
One last note: I like the new PC art! It's cool.
OK, that's about it. So go download the show!

Hey!

What's going on... a Shabbat Ulpana (school Shabbat) this past week. I love those. My school's been doing it at the same place on the same week for 8 years, and this was my last one. This made me very sad, but I was one of the only ones who felt that way...
In other news, my latest high is that I have no tests till Thursday. Which is a very good reason to come in here and post a mini-update before my high turns back into reality...
Have a great rest of the week!
