I'm in NY!

I arrived on Thursday evening after spending the whole day on planes. We switched planes in London which wasn't as fun as I thought it would be, mainly because we were taking off from the very last gate at this huge terminal at Heathrow. On the other hand, for the first time in my life, I flew without an adult!! That part was fun, even if the rest wasn't.
So we arrived in NY and found out that one of my bags was being sent on a later flight. I was supposed to have it by Friday afternoon. Let me just say, I still don't have it. But Savta finally managed to get hold of someone helpful who told her I would have it by tomorrow morning. I'm inclined to believe that, and I'll deal with it if it doesn't come. Yesterday I wore the one shirt that was in my other suitcase, Sarah lent me the one Shabbat outfit she has that fits me, and she also lent me a pair of basketball shorts to sleep in. I have never worn basketball shorts, and Sarah's were too short on me. Now I washed the few clothes I have, just in case.
So we're at Savta's house now, and we're staying here for most of the summer. We have a staff meeting at Camp Tiferes tomorrow, and then Bubby and Zeyda are picking us up after that and we're going to their house.
That's all for now! Have a good week!

I'm leaving tomorrow!

I'll still be able to post on here, but you know... I'll be away...
Sarah and I are flying to London at 8 AM tomorrow, and arriving in NY some time in the evening or afternoon. I'll update later.

I'm done!

Finally... I don't know how well it went, but it's over!!! Now I can stress about everything I need to do before I leave this Thursday, and all the people I need to see...

Natani found my glasses...

...in his room. I have no idea how they got there...

I did it!

My parents just took a 3-day vacation to the Carmel Forest Spa. Yes, we're all very jealous, but what I'm proud of myself for is that I babysat my brothers the whole time (almost) and I actually escaped unscathed... but now I'm really tired...

On a completely unrelated note, my glasses seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth, which means that now I have a headache for reading without them.

Hi!

  • I passed my driving theory test! After flunking it once before, it's about time...
  • One Bagrut left!

I guess that's it... Have a good week!

BTW...

Summer plans are remaining intact. For the most part, I got over whatever was bugging me last night.

I'm stressed...

I have to study for my Toshba matkonet which is this Friday... It's a ton of material and not particuarly fun... but I also really need to pass my written driving test by this week, or else my teacher will... So that's why I'm studying full-time... I have a driving lesson this afternoon, which means going, taking the bus, and waiting for my teacher in the sun... not to mention driving... I'm tired because I woke up too early this morning, and because this heat is really getting to me... I'm sick of studying...

Hey, how's it going? ("*gasp* Rachel!")

OK, I have no idea what possessed me to use that line in the title of my post, one of those random Gilmore Girls things... (Let it be pointed out that "Hey, how's it going?" is just a totally normal catchphrase, but of course I have to connect it to Gilmore Girls. Go figure.)
So, today was my Tanach bagrut. I only have 2 tests left- a bagrut and a matkonet, both in Toshba.
Today I also had a little meltdown about my summer plans. It appears that I'm not as thrilled about them as I thought I was. We'll have to see what we can do about it, if anything.
I think thats all. Have a great... whatever.
