Remember my weekly updates?

  • Back to school...
  • I love my schedule this year! So many less hours....
  • I learned that there is actually something in this world that is more pointless than trigonometry: vectors.
  • I had my first driving lesson after two months. I can't really say how I did, but I can say that I have a lot of motivation to just get this over with. Hopefully I'll do it soon...

Just checking in

So... where are we? We've been in Philly for the past week, doing a lot of fun stuff and seeing a lot of fun family. We came back in the middle for my 2nd cousin's wedding. After that we went to Passaic for Shabbat and had a great time. Now, ta-dum, we're going to London for the week... and no, we're not going to visit the queen...
So have a good week!

Wicked

So I saw Wicked last night. It was beyond amazing. I'm almost speechless... The drama, and the music, and the effects... I really loved all of it. I just read the book, and finished it yesterday. I highly reccommend the book, just don't read it the day before you see the musical. It didn't ruin much, but it made it a bit confusing. I survived anyway, and I still loved the show. The cast was all amazing, especially this Eden Espinosa (who's pictured here in, um, green) who plays Elphaba. She's such a great actress, she has a good voice, and she's also pretty good looking... (Love that color!)
Anyway, I should probably say a thing or two about what the show is about. Well, the book is pretty much a "biography" of the Wicked Witch of the West (as in The Wizard of Oz). Elphaba, the witch, was born with green skin and had something of a bad life. She got pretty messed up, but she was never evil. Oh, and by the way, the evil one is actually the Wizard of Oz himself...
The musical is pretty much the same thing, except that it's a little more about her friend G(a)linda (the Good Witch of the North...) as well as Elphie. (No, I did not make up that nickname, thanks.) Anyway, I reccommed them both.
So, one more thing I have to say, as appeared on the green onesies in the gift shops:
Green Babies Rule!

Hi!

So the rest of my family is here now, and that means more chaos but more to do. I've been really homesick and would love to get back to the Holy Land, and I'm suddenly realizing that I'm going into 12th grade... I'm so old!
Shavua Tov!
